What if? We each contributed and benefited at our own capacity?  What if? Ethiopian Americans consolidated all our resources within our community? What if we built a purpose-driven networking infrastructure to collectively work towards the advancement and empowerment of the Ethiopian Diaspora? What if?

The founding organization, Ethiopian Americans for Obama, utilized grass-roots community organizing strategies to reach the Ethiopian American Constituency and encouraged civic engagement and participation of Ethiopians in harnessing our collective voice in the voting process.

The valuable experience and insights gained from community organizing, outreach and volunteerism during the Obama campaign inspired the formation of Ethiopian Americans for Change–a volunteer-powered pipeline across the country that harnesses the intellectual, information and human assets of Ethiopian Americans to enable the Diaspora community to freely pull resources from our own network to solve social problems as well as empower and uplift the collective Ethiopian community.

Ethiopian Americans for Change is an organization that is powered by volunteer members. Ethiopians young and old throughout the United States, from various economic, educational and demographical backgrounds coming together for one goal–to celebrate a self-sustaining community.  Ethiopian Americans for Change empowers all Ethiopian Americans to contribute to the advancement of the Diaspora community by collecting, organizing and sharing all attainable data, resources, and manpower needed to tackle social issues and seize opportunities for the individual as well as the collective community

Ethiopian Americans for Change is a not-for-profit Organization that relies on a volunteer based network of individuals, businesses and organizations that contribute various resources at their own capacity to the implementation of specified programs and community oriented initiatives. Through strategic building of alliances, resource allocation and grass roots community organizing, Ethiopian Americas for change facilitates effective targeting and impact optimization of community development initiatives.
