Did you ever want to say something but held back for fear of judgment? Ever have a thought but did not express it because you did not want to be thought of differently. Did you ever have an idea but did not follow through because you did not want to be mocked? Freedom of speech is one of the central tenants of a true Democracy. A people who do not feel free to express their thoughts and idea are not free at all. So, the topic of discussion is Freedom of Speech

Ethiopian-Americans for Change is hosting Real Talk. This is a panel discussion with a twist. Usually, a panel discussion panel consists of experts; doctors, lawyers, professors, etc. Our panel discussion consists of only one type of expert—YOU.

So come out Saturday, January 16th, to Almaz Restaurant and speak your mind. You will get a chance to be with friends and make new friends in the process. This event is open and free to the public. So come out, enjoy some buna and injera, and take part in a vital discussion that is sorely needed—an open discussion where you can say exactly how you feel. There will be no agendas, no particular format, it will be more like a town hall discussion.

Imagine that, an invite that is not about partying, there will be no music, no DJs, no drinking at the bar. Just an open and honest dialogue amongst friendly faces that you know or will get to know. So bring friends or come by yourself and be amongst friends.
