Today’s person of the week is really more like the persons of the week. Nebiyu Ejigu, Mike Endale, Robel Kassa, and Bemnet Goitom.
Ethiopian-Americans for Change (EA4C) officially endorses Gubernatorial Candidate Creigh Deeds, Lieutenant Gubernatorial Candidate Jody Wagner, and State Delegate Candidate Charniele Herring. EA4C is a non-partisan organization dedicated to mobilizing the vast Ethiopian-American community in order to get more engaged in the United States political process and to value the significance of one vote.
A month ago, EA4C sent out personal invitations to both the Republican ticket and the Democratic ticket and asked both parties to come out and speak to the Ethiopian community. The Republican party was not able to attend due to scheduling conflict. The Democratic party accepted our invitation enthusiastically.
09.25.09 was an amazing day. Although the organizers tasked with putting together this event were stretched to unimaginable heights and the stress of implementing the event was stressful for a group of individuals who put this together on their “spare time”, the outcome was nonetheless magical. Whether you want to volunteer for a particular event or be a long-term volunteer, we will get you plugged into the organization and you will have first hand update about various events that are being planned by EA4C.
Our success is measured by the level of ownership that our community has in the organization and our ability to meet the needs of our stakeholders. To that end, we are and will always reach out to our community to ask for your continued support.
We will promptly follow up and give you additional information. The only requirement to be a member in Ethiopian-Americans for Change is to live up to the “five agreement”. If you meet these agreements, we would be honored to have you be a member of the EA4C family.
